WHY WE ARE ASKING
We have spent time engaging with students at several UK universities in a variety of student marketing activities. The focus has always been to provide our clients and the campus with something that would satisfy both parties.
We have carried out a range of Student Marketing activities across freshers’ fairs and open days such as Formula 1 challenges and Virtual Reality experiences, as well as adding to our ability to inform students across social media platforms, internal notice boards and media screens. This student marketing research allows us to better understand student marketing in a virtual space.
For the last year student life has been adversely affected especially for first year students; the ability to network physically has moved to virtual space. Even freshers’ fairs are virtual and certainly not as much fun as the physical event, or so we believe, but maybe this is just one example of how virtual worlds can contend with physical.
The only way we will find out is to engage with those that have the voice of actual experience. Our Student Marketing depends on how much we can understand about the channels available. As students you remain keen to help, eager to try and willing to further your knowledge to ultimately forge a career; what has changed is how brands reach you.
Student Marketing is changing, and we wish to know how. Our Student Marketing Research project is ongoing and we continually update the findings.
